3M 947D 120 grit 610 mm x 6 mm is our high performance ceramic abrasive belt material with a waterproof backing used for aggressive grinding.
We recommend 947D where high pressure and high volume stock removal is required on stainless steel, steel and aerospace alloys.
947D performs really well on wide belt sanders for graining stainless steel. It can also be used on backstand grinders for stainless steel and high pressure steel applcations. Aditionally, this belt works great on the Garboli through-feed tube grinders and polishers.
